Technology Development Foundry Engineering – Staff Yield Engineer

This engineer will serve as the primary yield expert throughout foundry product development, helping establish targets, forecast performance, and guide products into volume production. Working within Intel’s Logic Technology Development and Foundry organizations, the role partners with process integration, device, metrology, lab, and product teams to uncover yield detractors and improve manufacturing outcomes. Responsibilities include analyzing inline, electrical test, and sort data; building yield projections and models; correlating process indicators with results; and leading root-cause investigations. The position also involves planning experiments, tracking process changes, standardizing development methods, and acting as a technical liaison for foundry customers. It suits an experienced semiconductor yield engineer with strong analytical, cross-functional, and customer-facing skills.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, materials science, physics, or related field with 6+ years of semiconductor yield engineering experienceExperience with yield signal analysis, root-cause investigation, and post-silicon yield troubleshootingProficiency in interpreting inline inspection, electrical test, and SORT dataTrack record in yield modeling, pareto analysis, and roadmap developmentPreferred foundry experience or direct foundry customer collaboration backgroundStrong customer service orientation and communication skills across technical and business stakeholders
