Senior Data Center Technician - PHX East

This position is part of Microsoft’s datacenter operations function and focuses on keeping servers, storage systems, networking equipment, racks, and cabling operating reliably. The technician independently handles work tickets, performs hardware staging and basic startup or shutdown activities, supports incident response, and follows strict procedures for data-bearing device destruction. They contribute to quality checks, safety observations, process improvements, and cross-functional coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders. The role suits an experienced IT hardware professional who is comfortable working in a mission-critical 24x7x365 environment and providing practical direction to junior technicians.
