Global Datacenter Engineering Senior Director, Operations Engineering

This executive will set the direction for operational engineering across Microsoft’s worldwide datacenter portfolio, connecting technical priorities with business and infrastructure strategy. The position guides retrofit, renewal, and modernization investments from prioritization and business justification through delivery oversight, while strengthening emergency procedures and operational governance. It also provides expert review of facility designs, operating sequences, and engineering documentation, and leads investigations into serious reliability or infrastructure events. Success depends on close collaboration with operations, technical teams, and business stakeholders across multiple regions.
