Senior Technical Writer - SATCOM Modems

This position owns the documentation lifecycle for complex SATCOM modem and software-defined communications product lines. Responsibilities include creating hardware and installation manuals, software and command-line references, API material, troubleshooting procedures, integration guides, and technical diagrams. The writer will work with architects, hardware and software engineers, product managers, and test teams to understand systems and improve documentation early in development. The role also establishes authoring standards, manages revisions tied to engineering releases, supports compliance with defense documentation requirements, and mentors less experienced writers. It suits an experienced technical communicator with strong knowledge of RF, satellite networking, electronic hardware, IP routing, and structured authoring tools who can obtain a DoD Secret clearance. The position is based on-site in Chandler, Arizona, and requires a bachelor’s degree plus at least five years of relevant experience.
