Design Automation Engineer (TFM/EDA)

This engineer will maintain and support the software, licensing, compute, and storage environments used for front-end and back-end chip design. They will help customers and design teams troubleshoot methodology and tool problems, enable design ramp-up through documentation and training, and support successful tapeout execution. The position works closely with EDA vendors, PDK and library specialists, flow developers, product designers, and infrastructure teams. It also involves scripting automation for installing and configuring tools, PDKs, licenses, and design checks while introducing new capabilities into established workflows. The role suits an experienced silicon design automation professional with strong EDA, physical design, Linux, scripting, and technical communication skills who can meet U.S. citizenship and clearance requirements.

Requirements

U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearanceBS in Electrical or Computer Engineering with 3+ years of experience, or MS with 2+ yearsExperience with front-end and back-end EDA tools, flows, and methodologyKnowledge of physical design, optimization, debugging, and design automationProficiency with Verilog/VHDL, Tcl, Perl, Python, Bash, and tcshExperience installing EDA tools, foundry PDKs, and design flows
