Server CPU SoC Architect

This architect will define end-to-end CPU and SoC specifications, evaluate design tradeoffs, and develop models to predict performance and power behavior. The position includes investigating new CPU features and instructions, identifying bottlenecks, and creating simulations and test strategies to validate proposed solutions. Working within Intel’s Architecture organization, the architect will partner with design, verification, validation, and other technical teams to guide execution and influence long-term product roadmaps. The role suits an experienced processor or SoC professional with strong systems thinking, analytical ability, and an interest in advancing CPU technology across diverse computing markets.

Requirements

Bachelor's in Computer/Electrical Engineering or related field with 4+ years CPU architecture experience, or Master's with 3+ years, or PhD with 1+ years4+ years in architecture definition, modeling, and CPU architecture fundamentals4+ years in SoC architecture and development methodologiesStrong experience with Fabric/Interconnect, PCIe/CXL, Coherency protocols, or Core/ISAKnowledge of performance and power modeling, bottleneck analysis, and optimizationUnderstanding of instruction set architecture (ISA) development and implementation
