Ocotillo Technology Fabrication Emergency Response Equipment Technician

The technician serves as a rapid-response equipment specialist across Intel’s advanced fabrication facilities in Chandler, Arizona. Responsibilities include preventive and corrective maintenance, emergency failure response, equipment operation support, root-cause analysis, defect reduction, and monitoring process-control systems. The role involves reading schematics and technical documentation while partnering with equipment and process engineers to improve procedures and manufacturing performance. It suits hands-on technical professionals with semiconductor, industrial maintenance, military, or related high-technology experience who can work safely and effectively under pressure. The position follows 12-hour compressed-work-week shifts and requires physical work in a fab environment, including lifting, climbing, and respirator use when necessary.

Requirements

High school diploma/equivalent plus 4+ years hands-on related experience OR military technical trainingAbility to lift 35 pounds repeatedly, stand/walk/bend frequently, and climb ladders 1-3 times per shiftProficiency reading technical manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawingsStrong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills with systematic diagnostic approachSelf-motivated with excellent communication, teamwork, and ability to work with minimal supervisionExperience with 300mm semiconductor equipment maintenance and process control systems (preferred)
