Mechanical Engineer Level 2 or Level 3

This engineer will work within the Space Sector’s integration and test function, helping prepare, build, operate, and assess space vehicle systems during testing. Responsibilities include overseeing technical staff, supporting mechanical production activities, creating procedures and hardware designs, and identifying whether tested equipment is functioning properly. The position requires familiarity with aerospace systems, spacecraft subsystems, or mission operations and involves close collaboration across a multidisciplinary team. It may suit engineers with backgrounds in mechanical operations, manufacturing, integration, or testing who want to contribute to spacecraft programs. Candidates with spacecraft test experience, leadership ability, manufacturing-process knowledge, or 3D modeling skills may be especially competitive.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in STEM plus 2 years of relevant experience for Level 2, or 5 years for Level 3Alternatively, a related master’s degree with no experience for Level 2 or 3 years for Level 3Ability to obtain and maintain an SCI security clearanceExperience in integration, testing, mechanical operations, or manufacturingKnowledge of aerospace systems, spacecraft subsystems, or mission operationsWillingness to travel up to 10% and work a 9/80 schedule
