Design Director, Brand and Creative Systems

This role owns the creation and evolution of Intel's foundational visual language—including typography, color, iconography, and motion systems—while architecting scalable design systems that leverage generative AI for automation and consistency. The Design Director will establish AI-native workflows for asset generation, govern design tools and libraries, and enable distributed teams across the company to apply and extend brand systems independently. They will partner with executive leadership and product teams to translate brand strategy into actionable design systems that balance preserving brand equity with innovation through emerging technology. This position suits visionary leaders who combine deep systems thinking with hands-on creative expertise, understand AI as a genuine tool rather than hype, and can influence complex global organizations while developing and mentoring design teams across multiple locations.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in design, visual communication, fine arts, or related field9+ years of brand design, product design, identity systems, or creative leadership experience in global/enterprise environmentsDemonstrated track record architecting and scaling enterprise design systems spanning product and brand touchpointsHands-on production experience with generative AI tools (Figma AI, Adobe Firefly, custom GPT workflows, or similar)Portfolio demonstrating systems thinking, brand strategy, AI-augmented workflows, and multi-channel design executionAbility to lead distributed cross-functional teams and develop talent in design language workflows
