Staff Process Engineer, Dry Etch

This engineer will work within Intel Foundry’s Manufacturing Development Customer Engineering organization, connecting technology development with production and foundry customer needs. Responsibilities include developing and refining dry etch processes, evaluating equipment and materials, improving manufacturing performance, and resolving complex process or device issues. The position partners closely with technology development, supply manufacturing, equipment vendors, and customer-facing teams while shaping future process roadmaps. It also carries influence across the organization through mentoring, strategic technical direction, and execution of new technology and product introductions. The role suits an experienced semiconductor process professional with strong fab-based dry etch knowledge, particularly in advanced GAA devices and foundry manufacturing.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Material Science, or related STEM field4+ years semiconductor industry experience focused on dry etch process developmentHands-on experience with sub-3nm Gate-All-Around (GAA) FET technologyBackground working with leading dry etch tool suppliers (LAM, TEL, AMAT, Hitachi) on process optimizationProven track record in fab environments in R&D, yield improvement, or defect reductionDemonstrated success in foundry NPI activities and manufacturing ramp environments
