Mechanical Project Engineer

This engineer will support Intel’s Global Construction Engineering organization, which delivers complex factory and cleanroom infrastructure projects worldwide. Responsibilities span feasibility assessments, field investigations, design criteria, budget development, detailed design oversight, and construction support for systems such as HVAC, chilled water, exhaust, fire protection, process cooling water, process vacuum, and oil-free air. Acting as the owner’s technical representative, the engineer coordinates consultants, contractors, estimators, schedulers, facilities teams, and other engineering disciplines. The position also contributes to improving engineering standards, sharing practices across global sites, and recommending solutions to leadership. It suits an experienced mechanical or chemical engineer with industrial or semiconductor project experience who communicates well, leads collaboratively, and prioritizes safety and technical excellence.

Requirements

Bachelor's in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering with 4+ years in mechanical/process mechanical systems design and construction, or Master's degree with 3+ years experienceTechnical expertise in HVAC, chilled water, heating water, exhaust, fire protection, process cooling water, oil-free air, or process vacuum systemsStrong communication skills for technical issues and cross-disciplinary collaborationExperience with industrial, semiconductor, or cleanroom projects preferredFamiliarity with design tools (AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, BIM360) and building codesProfessional Engineer registration preferred; no sponsorship available
