ECAD Principal Engineer

The ECAD Principal Engineer will join Arm’s System-in-Package tools and process team, supporting designs for IoT, automotive, and compute products. This person will build and maintain custom automation, improve data exchange and verification across engineering groups, and work with ECAD vendors on tool enhancements and issue resolution. The role also contributes to Cadence-based library development, package layout practices, DFM/DFA, and signal and power integrity considerations. It suits an experienced package-design and CAD-automation engineer who can handle ambiguous, fast-changing priorities and provide practical support to internal users. Strong communication, technical documentation, and mentoring skills are valuable for enabling broader adoption of the design toolchain.
