This senior technical role focuses on owning CMP process development and optimization across Intel's most advanced logic technologies (18A, Intel 3, Intel 12nm), requiring leadership in process development, cross-node standardization, and manufacturing readiness. The position sits within the Manufacturing Development Customer Engineering organization, which accelerates technology ramp and manufacturing excellence by bridging development and production. The engineer will collaborate across multiple functional teams including Integration, Device, Yield, Factory, and Quality while mentoring junior staff and engaging with external suppliers. This role is ideal for experienced semiconductor professionals with deep CMP expertise who can navigate complex technical challenges, drive yield improvements through data-driven problem-solving, and balance customer requirements with Intel's strategic business objectives in a fast-paced foundry environment.

Requirements

Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related field7+ years semiconductor manufacturing/process development experience4+ years direct CMP process development with hands-on process tuning and characterizationExperience with major CMP equipment platforms (AMAT, Ebara, etc.)Knowledge of CMP consumables (slurries, pads, conditioning disks, filters)Previous semiconductor foundry experience
