This position sits within Intel’s Advanced Packaging Technology and Manufacturing organization and partners with engineering, quality, metrology, and factory teams. The scientist will analyze process, equipment, inspection, and yield data to uncover variation, defects, anomalies, and potential root causes. They will create and validate predictive models for monitoring, excursion detection, yield forecasting, tool health, and process drift, then help move effective solutions into production. The role also includes developing dashboards, automated analysis tools, and proof-of-concepts that support advanced process control and faster manufacturing responses. It is well suited to an experienced data professional who combines strong Python and statistical skills with manufacturing knowledge, collaborative communication, and the ability to work effectively with imperfect data.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree with 6+ years experience (or Master's with 4+, or PhD with 2+) in data science, statistics, engineering, or related fieldManufacturing data analysis and statistical modeling experience with proven ability to solve process or yield problemsStrong Python programming and JMP proficiency for data analysis and model developmentExperience with large manufacturing datasets from equipment, metrology, or quality systemsApplied AI/ML and predictive modeling skills to generate actionable business insightsSQL or database query tool knowledge for data extraction
