As a Module Development Engineer specializing in dry etch processes, you'll drive the development of cutting-edge semiconductor manufacturing technologies that enable both current high-volume production and next-generation device architectures. You'll own the technical direction of process platforms, conduct feasibility studies, optimize equipment and materials, and partner with suppliers to implement manufacturing solutions at scale. This role suits experienced process engineers or materials scientists with deep expertise in plasma physics and advanced etch technologies who can influence cross-functional teams and mentor others while solving complex manufacturing bottlenecks. You'll work within Intel Foundry's worldwide network, focusing on yield improvement, technology transitions, and building roadmaps that push the semiconductor industry forward.

Requirements

PhD with 10+ years or Master's with 15+ years in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or related STEM fieldExpert-level knowledge of dry etch processes including plasma physics, pattern fidelity, selectivity, and advanced etch technologies (HARC, ALE, EUV integration)Proven track record delivering dry etch innovations that enabled high-volume manufacturing or technology node transitionsAdvanced proficiency with data analytics, statistical modeling, and design of experiments applied to semiconductor process problemsDemonstrated ability to influence decisions across organizations and translate research into manufacturable solutions at scaleExperience working in semiconductor foundry dry etch environments with expertise in advanced materials and device characterization
