Program Cost Controls Lead

This position supports the Naval Standard Missile Systems production organization by providing independent financial analysis and guidance throughout program execution. Responsibilities include developing quarterly estimates at completion, maintaining cost and schedule controls, preparing management review materials, planning funding, and tracking work authorization, contract changes, and risks. The analyst will also help maintain earned value management processes and contribute to required contract data deliverables. The role works closely with program managers, engineering, contracts, operations, supply chain, and other functional partners in a matrixed defense environment. It suits an experienced finance or program controls professional who is analytical, proactive, comfortable communicating with senior leaders, and able to work onsite in Tucson while maintaining an active Secret clearance.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business (or equivalent) with 8+ years relevant experience, or Advanced degree with 5+ years experienceExperience interfacing across multiple functional disciplines including Contracts, Operations, Engineering, and Supply ChainProficiency with MS Office, particularly advanced Excel skills including Power QueryAbility to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance; U.S. citizenship requiredStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to communicate effectively at all management levelsExpertise in forecasting methodologies, Estimate-at-Completion (EAC), and Earned Value Management systems
