This role sets the strategy for analyzing supplier performance and targeting the highest-impact quality problems across suppliers, commodities, processes, and products. It leads standardized root-cause and corrective-action practices, supplier capability development, work-transfer readiness, and investigations of significant quality escapes. The director oversees a distributed team of quality engineers and technical specialists while partnering with Supplier Quality, Operations, Engineering, and Program leadership. The position also supports new product introductions, production-rate changes, supplier transitions, and executive reporting on quality risks and results. It suits an experienced aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or engineering leader with deep problem-solving expertise, strong analytical and communication skills, and a record of developing technical teams and influencing critical suppliers.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree with 14+ years in supplier quality/manufacturing engineering, or advanced degree with 12+ years relevant experience14 years expertise in root cause analysis, corrective actions, structured problem-solving methods, and quality systems executionExperience in aerospace and defense or similarly complex industriesProven leadership experience managing and mentoring technical teamsU.S. citizenship required for contract authorizationAbility to travel 50% to supplier locations
