Mechanical Design Engineer II (Onsite)

The position is part of the Lighting design team within Collins Aerospace’s aircraft interiors organization. It involves leading new and derivative product designs, maintaining existing products, preparing technical documentation, and ensuring designs meet customer and aerospace requirements. The engineer will use 3D CAD, mechanical analysis, and structured aerospace design processes while contributing to activities such as thermal or FEA studies. Success requires balancing priorities, collaborating across domestic and international teams, and helping address cost, supplier, manufacturing, and lifecycle concerns. This role suits a mechanical engineer with aerospace or comparable product-design experience who is comfortable working onsite in Phoenix and occasionally traveling.
