This director-level position leads operations resiliency and digital transformation initiatives within RTX's Capacity Growth Office, reporting to both the VP of Digital and Automation and the Executive Director of OSCQ Solutions. The role encompasses designing and executing comprehensive resiliency strategies for new factory constructions and expansions, while simultaneously driving resilience improvements across existing critical manufacturing sites in Arizona, Massachusetts, and Texas. The director will architect smart factory solutions by integrating digital technologies, automation, AI/ML capabilities, and real-time monitoring systems to create highly resilient, data-driven production environments. This position requires collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, facilities, and executive leadership to embed resilient design principles and proactive risk management into factory planning and operations. The ideal candidate combines extensive manufacturing transformation experience with deep expertise in digital technology solutions, factory automation, and enterprise-scale change management. This role suits senior technology leaders with proven success managing multifunctional teams through complex, multi-site digital modernization programs in aerospace, defense, or advanced industrial operations.

Requirements

University degree or equivalent with minimum 14 years relevant experience, or advanced degree with minimum 12 years experienceProven experience leading and managing multiple functional teams through factory transformation initiativesExpertise developing digital technology solutions for smart factory environments including automation, monitoring, and optimizationKnowledge of digital twin, model-based engineering, and integration of IT with operational technology systemsAbility to obtain and maintain US DoD Top Secret security clearance; U.S. citizenship requiredExperience with large-scale budgets, executive communication, and enterprise transformation across multiple manufacturing sites
