The Principal Specialist Design Integrity Checker performs detailed verification and validation of complex mechanical or electrical design packages, ensuring they meet industry and military standards, are production-ready, and maintain data integrity. The role sits within the Hardware Design Integrity department, which supports program execution quality and on-time delivery across RTX's aerospace and defense operations. This position suits experienced design engineers or technical specialists who combine deep CAD expertise with meticulous attention to detail and familiarity with formal design review processes and compliance standards. The role offers the opportunity to work on mission-critical defense systems while managing complex technical documentation and collaborating across engineering disciplines. Candidates must hold or be able to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance and typically possess 5+ years of relevant design or verification experience plus a STEM degree.

Requirements

Active or obtainable DoD Secret level security clearance and U.S. citizenshipBachelor's degree in STEM with 5+ years relevant experience (or advanced degree with 3+ years, or 9 years without degree)5+ years experience designing, drafting, or verifying technical data packagesProficiency with CAD tools (Creo, SolidWorks, AutoCAD for mechanical; EXPEDITION-DxDESIGNER, Mentor Boardstation for electrical)Knowledge of ASME Y14.41 and MIL-STD-31000 design standardsStrong communication skills and ability to collaborate across engineering disciplines
