Electrical Engineer II, Video Products - Sustaining (Onsite)

As an Electrical Engineer II on the Video Products Sustaining team, you'll be responsible for the ongoing lifecycle management of Axon's mass-produced video devices including body-worn cameras and in-vehicle systems. Your work focuses on addressing real-world challenges like component obsolescence, manufacturing issues, and regulatory requirements by updating circuit designs, performing detailed debugging and testing, and collaborating with cross-functional partners globally. This position suits someone with 4+ years of embedded electronics experience who thrives in hands-on problem-solving with lab equipment and enjoys owning design improvements from conception through production release. You'll need strong fundamentals in analog and digital circuits, RF systems knowledge, and the ability to work independently while communicating complex technical findings to broader teams.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline4+ years experience in electronics design or sustaining engineering for mass-produced embedded devicesProficiency with OrCAD/Cadence for schematic design and hands-on lab skills for debugging and characterizationExperience with component selection, alternate sourcing, and managing engineering change orders with BOM/PCB updatesWorking knowledge of RF integration and testing for Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GNSS, and cellular systemsExperience supporting regulatory compliance testing for FCC, CE, and PTCRB standards
