Electrical Engineer II, Video Products - Sustaining (Onsite)

This engineer will maintain post-launch electrical designs by addressing obsolete components, alternate sourcing, cost reduction, field failures, and product improvements. The position sits within Axon’s Video Electrical Engineering Sustaining team and requires close coordination with design, manufacturing, PCB, technology, and compliance partners. Day-to-day work includes schematic and BOM updates, laboratory testing, board bring-up, hardware debugging, failure analysis, rework, and verification of mixed-signal and RF circuits. The engineer will also help prepare products for certifications and support engineering changes through production release. It suits a hands-on electrical engineer with experience in complex, high-volume embedded hardware and the ability to work independently across distributed teams. The role is based onsite in Scottsdale, Arizona, Monday through Friday.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline4+ years experience in electronics design or sustaining engineering for mass-produced embedded devicesProficiency with OrCAD/Cadence for schematic design and hands-on lab skills for debugging and characterizationExperience with component selection, alternate sourcing, and managing engineering change orders with BOM/PCB updatesWorking knowledge of RF integration and testing for Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GNSS, and cellular systemsExperience supporting regulatory compliance testing for FCC, CE, and PTCRB standards
