Senior Mechanical Engineer

This engineer will contribute across the lifecycle of missile, launcher, support equipment, and electronics hardware, from early design through manufacturing, integration, testing, and production. Responsibilities include 3D modeling, engineering analysis, drawing and configuration updates, design reviews, trade studies, and resolution of technical issues. The role works closely with structural, thermal, electrical, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, operations, and supplier teams, while occasionally supporting domestic or international facilities. It also offers opportunities to lead small engineering teams, manage technical work against schedule and budget, and develop junior engineers. The position suits a mid-career mechanical engineer with experience in hardware design, manufacturing or tooling, technical documentation, and CAD-based drawing release who is comfortable working in a secure, collaborative, onsite defense environment.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in STEM field plus 5+ years relevant mechanical design experience, or advanced degree plus 3+ years experienceProficiency with 3D CAD design tools (preferably CREO) and technical documentation creation including GD&TExperience in mechanical design, manufacturing processes, and engineering drawing development and releaseDemonstrated ability to lead teams, work cross-functionally, and manage technical tasks autonomouslyActive or obtainable Secret-level DoD security clearance; U.S. citizenship requiredFactory support experience and willingness to travel domestically and internationally
