Energetic Materials Chemist

This position sits within Materials & Process Engineering and focuses on ensuring energetic ingredients and related production materials meet technical and safety requirements. The chemist will review supplier data and processes while conducting laboratory analyses on energetics, adhesives, polymers, composites, metals, and other materials. Work includes conformance testing, root-cause investigations, instrument-based characterization, and rapid support for manufacturing and program needs. The role suits an experienced analytical chemist with hands-on knowledge of energetic material formulation, manufacturing, testing, and safe handling. Success requires strong organization, technical writing, teamwork, independent problem-solving, and the ability to manage multiple laboratory assignments, occasional supplier travel, and physical work onsite.
