Principal Procurement Specialist

This position leads procurement work for strategically important suppliers supporting Raytheon’s Air & Space Defense Systems organization and reports to a Procurement Manager. Responsibilities include preparing solicitations, assessing pricing and compliance, negotiating commercial terms, issuing high-value fixed-price and cost-type orders, and resolving supplier or internal customer problems. The specialist also tracks financial and material performance, supports manufacturing planning targets, and develops cost-reduction and supplier-improvement initiatives. The role is remote but may require periodic travel to RTX or supplier locations. It suits an experienced supply chain or subcontract professional who can operate in regulated environments, manage competing priorities, and build effective relationships while securing favorable contract outcomes.
