Mechanical Engineer II - Thermal Engineer
This engineer will support thermal design decisions from early concepts through qualification and production by developing models, assessing thermal behavior, and resolving program challenges. The work includes hand calculations, finite element or specialized thermal software analysis, test planning, data reduction, and correlation of analytical models with hardware results. The position sits within Raytheon’s Mechanical Analysis and Test Department, collaborating with structural, mechanical, program, government, and customer teams. It suits an early-career thermal professional who can manage technical work to cost and schedule, communicate findings clearly, and contribute both independently and in peer reviews. U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain an active, transferable Secret clearance are required, and the position is onsite in Tucson, Arizona.
