Factory Quality Engineer II - Tucson, AZ
This engineer will partner with factory operators, manufacturing and program leadership, engineering teams, and government quality representatives to ensure production meets contractual, technical, AS9100, and internal quality standards. Responsibilities include analyzing quality data, reducing cost of poor quality, investigating failures, controlling nonconforming material, supporting review boards, and tracking corrective actions through completion. The position also involves maintaining work and inspection instructions, managing configuration-related quality activities, and preparing First Article Inspections under AS9102. It suits a hands-on quality professional who is comfortable in a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment and can influence cross-functional teams without direct authority. Candidates with experience in aerospace quality systems, manufacturing inspection or test, root-cause analysis, and engineering documentation will be well aligned.
