Based onsite in Tucson, Arizona, this position leads engineers and partners with program leadership to assess staffing needs, manage team assignments, and build a collaborative engineering organization. The leader will spend up to half of their time supporting hiring activities, including job postings, interviews, onboarding, and identifying productive assignments for new employees. Technical responsibilities include maintaining requirements, modeling systems and lifecycle processes in Cameo, supporting failure investigations, conducting trade studies, and resolving hardware, software, and system issues through analysis. The role suits an experienced systems engineer who is comfortable working in a matrixed defense environment and balancing people leadership with hands-on engineering. Candidates with engineering leadership, team management, staffing, program controls, and defense systems integration experience may be especially well suited.
