Senior Metrology Engineer

This engineer will work alongside ALD and epitaxy process teams to characterize and optimize materials used in next-generation semiconductor manufacturing. Responsibilities include developing measurement recipes, troubleshooting equipment, coordinating with vendors, interpreting results, and communicating findings to technical and management audiences. The position also contributes to lab uptime, standard operating procedures, recovery plans, equipment training, and continuous improvement efforts. It suits a hands-on materials or physical sciences professional who is comfortable with a broad range of microscopy and analytical tools and can work independently in a fast-paced R&D setting. Candidates should also be prepared to provide off-hours support and maintain an organized, efficient laboratory environment.

Requirements

Ph.D. in materials science, engineering, chemistry, physics, or a related fieldHands-on experience with TEM, STEM, EDS, EELS, SEM, and FIBKnowledge of semiconductor processing and device fabricationExperience with analytical methods such as XRR, XRD, XRF, FTIR, or electrical characterizationStrong data analysis, reporting, communication, and collaboration skillsAvailability for early shifts, weekends, and on-call support
