Business Systems Architect – Finance (D365 FO)

This position leads the architecture and delivery of finance solutions in D365 FO, covering areas such as general ledger, payables, receivables, cash management, fixed assets, project accounting, reporting, and consolidation. The architect evaluates standard functionality versus customization, oversees implementations, and helps ensure systems are scalable, secure, well governed, and aligned with business goals. They serve as a trusted advisor to finance leadership while coordinating with analysts, developers, architects, auditors, and other stakeholders. Responsibilities also include supporting mergers and acquisitions, improving reporting and controls, training users, mentoring functional analysts, and evaluating Microsoft cloud, Copilot, automation, and AI capabilities. This role suits an experienced finance systems professional with strong accounting knowledge, hands-on D365 FO expertise, project leadership ability, and an interest in modernizing enterprise finance operations.
