Open role
Principal Systems Engineer - Missile Guidance, Navigation, and Control Engineer
This engineer will help design and verify tactical missile flight algorithms, integrate them into embedded systems, and evaluate performance through six-degree-of-freedom simulations and Monte Carlo studies. The position is part of Raytheon’s Effectors Processing, Guidance & Control organization, which develops GNC, signal processing, estimation, and modeling capabilities across multiple defense programs. Responsibilities include leading technical planning in an Agile environment, conducting system-level analyses, optimizing missile performance, and mentoring less-experienced engineers. The role suits an experienced GNC, systems, controls, signal processing, or modeling and simulation professional who can work across software, hardware, and system-level engineering concerns. Candidates must be U.S. citizens with an active Secret clearance and be able to work onsite in Tucson.
