Manufacturing Quality Engineer II

This engineer is part of Axon’s Global Quality organization and helps ensure reliable production from new product introduction through ongoing manufacturing. Responsibilities include managing nonconforming materials, leading root-cause and corrective-action efforts, preparing quality records, supporting inspections and measurement studies, and applying risk-based process controls. The role uses statistical methods, SPC, DMAIC, Lean practices, and audit activities to improve yield, consistency, and compliance. It also requires close collaboration with manufacturing, design, engineering, supply chain, procurement, suppliers, and other stakeholders during escalations and product launches. It suits a hands-on quality professional who can work independently, communicate clearly, and manage technical priorities in a fast-moving environment.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Quality Engineering3+ years of production/manufacturing quality engineering experienceKnowledge of CAPA, RCA/8D, PPAP, FAIR, PFMEA, and validation activitiesSix Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification or equivalent process improvement experienceProficiency with statistical analysis software (Minitab, JMP) and MS OfficeStrong understanding of GD&T, engineering drawings, and IPC-A-610 standards
