Principal Procurement Specialist

This position supports RTX procurement and supply chain operations by developing sourcing strategies from product development through production and sustainment. The specialist negotiates complex supplier contracts, prepares and manages purchase orders, analyzes costs, and establishes commercial agreements that improve continuity and value. They collaborate with engineering, program, international subcontracting, and other cross-functional teams to align supplier capabilities with technical requirements, capacity needs, and delivery goals. The role also involves qualifying new suppliers, developing alternate sources, and addressing risks within the supply base. It is well suited to an experienced defense procurement or subcontract professional who can navigate government acquisition rules while building effective supplier relationships.
