Simulation and Modeling Intern (Spring 2027)

This internship supports ASM’s engineering analysis work in the semiconductor industry through computational simulation and modeling. The intern will contribute to simulation studies, DOE activities, data analysis, and predictive model development aimed at improving engineering evaluations. The role is designed for a currently enrolled student who wants practical experience working with industry engineers and advanced semiconductor technology. It is well suited to students in mechanical, chemical, aerospace engineering, physics, or related disciplines with strong numerical and analytical skills. Familiarity with CFD, multiphysics tools, Python or MATLAB, and model-reduction methods would be valuable.

Requirements

Currently enrolled in a bachelor's, master's, or PhD program in engineering, physics, or a related fieldStrong knowledge of numerical modeling and simulationCFD or multiphysics simulation experience preferredFamiliarity with DOE, data analysis, and scripting in Python, MATLAB, or similarExposure to or interest in reduced-order or surrogate modelingStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities
