(Senior) Engineer II, Systems Engineering (Optical / Machine vision)

This engineer will guide optical and imaging system development from architecture through validation, while helping ensure product reliability and performance across the lifecycle. The position collaborates with mechanical, electrical, software, firmware, manufacturing, process, and product engineering groups on complex semiconductor equipment and subsystems. Responsibilities include defining reliability strategies, leading qualification and accelerated-life testing, investigating failures, analyzing field data, and recommending design improvements. The role also involves coordinating multiple development programs, communicating technical findings to varied stakeholders, and mentoring less-experienced engineers. It suits an experienced systems or optical engineer who can combine technical depth in imaging and computer vision with independent judgment, cross-functional leadership, and strong problem-solving skills.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in optics, electrical, mechanical, systems engineering, physics, or a related fieldExpertise in optical engineering, imaging, computer vision, and system integrationExperience with reliability engineering, product development, qualification, or systems engineeringDemonstrated leadership of complex technical projects and cross-functional teamsExperience with failure analysis, root-cause investigations, and reliability testingStrong communication, systems thinking, and problem-solving abilities
