Working within the program quality organization, this engineer partners with program leadership, integrated product teams, factory personnel, engineering, and customers to strengthen quality throughout SM-3 IIA production. Responsibilities include investigating root causes, evaluating material review board issues and change requests, improving nonconformance resolution, and establishing measurable process controls. The position also supports customer documentation, quality planning, risk analysis, and APQP implementation across production facilities. It suits a quality, manufacturing, operations, or engineering professional who can interpret technical requirements, use quality systems and metrics, and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders. Because the work supports a defense program, an active Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in STEM field with minimum 2 years quality, engineering, manufacturing, or operations experienceProficiency with AS9100 and/or ISO9001 quality management systemsKnowledge of root cause analysis and corrective action methodologiesAbility to read, interpret, and work with technical drawings and specificationsActive or ability to obtain DoD Secret security clearance; U.S. citizenship requiredExperience with quality metrics development and long-term corrective action planning
