Program Manager, Advanced Emerging Technology

This position oversees programs that develop next-generation defense capabilities for Department of Defense customers and internal research initiatives. The manager establishes financial and performance baselines, supports the Chief Engineer and integrated product teams, and monitors budgets, schedules, technical results, and contract commitments. The role also leads risk and opportunity management, estimate-at-complete activities, customer interactions, proposal support, and coordination across organizational functions. Success requires improving program processes and maintaining strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders. It is well suited to an experienced defense program leader who combines structured business management with strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills. The position is onsite in Tucson and requires an active Secret clearance, U.S. citizenship, and up to 10% travel.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree plus 8 years relevant experience, or advanced degree plus 5 years experienceDemonstrated expertise with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) principles and practicesExperience with program/project management tools including risk and opportunity management and Estimate at Complete analysisActive Secret security clearance required at start; ability to obtain Top Secret clearanceStrong organizational and leadership skills managing multiple competing prioritiesExceptional communication and stakeholder management with customers and internal teams
