2nd Shift Quality Inspector III (Onsite)

Working within Collins Aerospace’s Powers & Controls team, this inspector evaluates electronic component repairs and assemblies against technical instructions, engineering data, and applicable soldering and workmanship standards. The role includes checking for defects and foreign objects, reviewing work orders, completing release or conformance certificates, and maintaining accurate quality records. The inspector also collaborates with technicians, support personnel, customers, and regulatory representatives while providing feedback and resolving technical or procedural issues. This position suits a detail-oriented quality professional who can work independently, interpret aerospace documentation, and remain effective in a hands-on production environment. It is performed onsite in Phoenix on a Monday-through-Friday second shift, with possible alternate-shift training and occasional weekend or holiday support.

Requirements

High school diploma with minimum 2 years relevant quality inspection experience (or 4 years without diploma)Familiarity with quality inspection principles and ability to read technical drawings and maintenance manualsAbility to stand for extended periods, lift up to 40 lbs, and perform fine manual tasks with handsU.S. citizenship required for program access; subject to FAA drug and alcohol testingKnowledge of IPC-A-610 and J-STD soldering standards preferredExperience with FAA 8130 documentation or ERP systems like SAP preferred
