Semiconductor Maintenance Technician – Diffusion/Cleans

The Semiconductor Maintenance Technician will be responsible for keeping critical wafer processing equipment operational through scheduled preventive maintenance and emergency troubleshooting in the Diffusion and Cleans departments. The role involves working with specialized semiconductor manufacturing equipment including furnaces, laser scribes, and various cleaning systems, requiring the ability to diagnose electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical issues independently. This position suits individuals with strong technical skills who can work methodically through complex problems, understand manufacturing quality systems, and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams. The technician must be comfortable working in a fast-paced 24/7 manufacturing environment with compressed shifts, potential night work, and physically demanding tasks including confined space entry and equipment lifting. Success requires combining hands-on technical expertise with the discipline to follow strict safety protocols when handling hazardous materials and the initiative to document work and mentor junior technicians.

Requirements

AA/AS/AAS in electronics or mechanical discipline preferred, or equivalent military/technical trainingTroubleshooting and repair expertise in electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and mechanical systemsKnowledge of SPC, 5S methodology, and FDC systemsRoot-cause problem-solving and diagnostic skills for semiconductor equipmentPhysical capability to stand extended periods, work in confined spaces, and lift up to 50 poundsStrong written and verbal communication skills
