Software Security Lead - Principal Software Engineer - S3E

This engineer will serve as the technical lead for a software security team within RTX’s Software Product Assurance organization. The work involves partnering with system and software architects and program stakeholders to define security requirements, assess design impacts, enforce secure coding practices, and test resilience under failure or attack conditions. The role also supports program protection planning through reused-code risk assessments, final software vulnerability reviews, and software bill of materials preparation. It is well suited to an experienced embedded software security professional with strong C/C++ development, cryptography, secure boot, and embedded operating system expertise. Because the work supports defense programs, the position is onsite in Tucson and requires U.S. citizenship and an applicable security clearance.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in STEM with 8+ years of related software experienceExpertise in C/C++ and embedded systems (VxWorks, Embedded Linux, or similar)Strong knowledge of embedded security, cryptography, and Secure Boot conceptsExperience with Xilinx UltaScale+ MPSoC or similar embedded processorsActive or ability to obtain DoD Secret security clearance; U.S. citizenship requiredUnderstanding of secure coding principles and architecture best practices
