The Sr. Manager - NSMS DMSMS/Obsolescence Program is a deputy Program Manager position within RTX's missile defense program office, reporting to the NSMS Obsolescence Associate Director. The role centers on proactive obsolescence monitoring and mitigation for the Standard Missile 6 and Standard Missile 2 programs, requiring leadership of proposal development, contract negotiations, program baselining, and hardware replacement initiatives. The position manages P&L across multiple contracts including CPFF, CPIF, FFP arrangements and IDIQ Task Orders, collaborating extensively with finance, engineering, supply chain, operations, and government customer teams. This role suits experienced program managers with strong EVMS knowledge, government contracting background, and the ability to drive complex mitigation efforts on active production programs while balancing technical, schedule, and cost performance metrics.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 10+ years relevant experience, or advanced degree with 7+ years experienceActive, transferable Secret-level security clearance and U.S. citizenship required on day 1PM4 certification or ability to obtain within 6 monthsProven program/project management experience with cost, schedule, and technical performance managementPrior experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) and proposal development/contract negotiationPreferred: obsolescence/DMSMS program background, large government program management, and production line hardware change insertion experience
