Senior Engineer II, Mechanical Engineering

This role supports the development of mechanical systems for semiconductor tools, including wafer handling, vacuum and process modules, thermal assemblies, robotics, and structural components. The engineer will turn system needs into detailed CAD designs and specifications, analyze performance and tolerances, and lead verification activities. They will work with systems, electrical, controls, process, manufacturing, and suppliers throughout prototyping, new product introduction, production transfer, and continuous improvement. The position also involves root-cause investigations, risk and reliability work, design-for-manufacturing efforts, and cost optimization. It suits an experienced mechanical engineer who enjoys precision equipment, collaborative product development, and solving complex technical problems in semiconductor or automation environments.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field5–8 years of experience in semiconductor equipment, automation, robotics, or precision equipmentProficiency with CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Creo, or NXKnowledge of motion systems, actuators, bearings, and structural designUnderstanding of vacuum, thermal management, or contamination controlFamiliarity with DFM, DFA, and FMEA
