Sr. Principal Systems Engineer - Missile Guidance, Navigation, & Control Engineer

This engineer will help design and validate missile GNC functions, including embedded tactical flight code, performance studies, simulations, and testing. The position supports current and future programs by assessing system behavior, optimizing designs, analyzing disturbances, and integrating software and firmware against system requirements. The engineer will work in an Agile environment, helping shape technical plans and metrics while mentoring less experienced engineers and coordinating with broader program teams. Success requires substantial experience in missile systems, control theory, navigation, signal processing, or modeling and simulation, along with strong programming and systems engineering capabilities. This onsite Tucson role is well suited to a technically accomplished engineer who can lead complex analyses, communicate with senior stakeholders, and guide multidisciplinary development efforts.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant STEM or engineering field and at least 10 years of related experienceExperience with missile GNC, signal processing, modeling, or simulationExpertise in areas such as controls, dynamics, Kalman filtering, navigation, Monte Carlo analysis, or verification and validationExperience with MATLAB, Python, C, C++, or object-oriented software designTechnical or functional leadership experience in an engineering environmentU.S. citizenship and ability to obtain an interim Secret clearance before starting
