Principal IC Test Development Engineer

This position leads test development from early product definition through qualification, launch, and high-volume manufacturing. It combines ATE program development with custom load-board and interface-circuit design focused on signal integrity, precision, noise performance, and repeatability. The engineer partners with analog and digital designers, system architects, product and quality engineers, applications teams, foundries, and outsourced assembly and test providers. Responsibilities also include statistical analysis, test-limit definition, yield and cost improvement, failure investigation, customer support, and reliability-related activities. It is well suited to an experienced mixed-signal test engineer who can solve complex problems, introduce improved test methods, and work effectively across a diverse international organization.

Requirements

BSEE or higher degree (MSEE preferred) with minimum 5 years of ATE-based test development experienceProficiency with Advantest 93K or Teradyne UltraFlex ATE platformsComprehensive knowledge of digital, analog, and mixed-signal device testing including PVT characterization and IC qualificationExperience designing high-precision test circuitry with expertise in layout, impedance control, and signal integrityDemonstrated ability in statistical analysis, design of experiments, and test optimization for yield and cost reductionStrong collaborative skills with cross-functional teams and familiarity with IC fabrication, foundries, and offshore manufacturing
