Software / System Safety Engineer II

This engineer will contribute to Raytheon’s System Safety function by carrying out software and system safety analyses from early development through deployment. The work includes applying MIL-STD-882E and related standards, reviewing software requirements and code, evaluating hazards and mitigations, and helping produce safety assessments and technical briefings. The position works closely with software, systems, electrical, mechanical, program management, customers, subcontractors, and government approval authorities. It is well suited to a STEM professional with at least two years of relevant experience who can communicate technical findings, collaborate across disciplines, and work in a regulated defense environment. The position is onsite in Tucson and requires U.S. citizenship and an active Secret clearance.
