Principal Systems Engineer
This engineer will serve as a technical systems authority for missile hardware and software programs, guiding work from early concept and architecture through production, testing, maintenance, and failure resolution. Responsibilities include managing requirements and interfaces in Cameo, leading verification and validation, conducting trade studies, supporting supplier-managed assemblies, and coordinating integration across software, hardware, test, and engineering teams. The position also involves customer engagement, technical reviews, documentation release, performance analysis, process improvement, and mentoring less experienced engineers. It sits within Raytheon’s Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities organization in Tucson, supporting defense programs across multiple missile and advanced technology domains. It is well suited to an experienced systems engineer with defense, MBSE, requirements, integration, and verification expertise who can lead multidisciplinary teams and work directly with technical and program leadership.
