As part of Raytheon Digital Technology’s ROCKS team, this engineer supports internal classified programs as they deploy Infrastructure-as-Code, container platforms, and automated operational processes. The role involves assessing program needs, guiding system administrators, troubleshooting deployments, and helping teams scale automation while maintaining reliability and compliance. The engineer will also coordinate with application teams and integrate automation with enterprise tools, APIs, cloud environments, and security controls. Success requires both practical experience with Ansible and operating systems and the communication skills to transfer knowledge and influence platform adoption. This position is well suited to an experienced automation or DevOps professional who can work with classified environments and hold an active Secret clearance.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with at least 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 3 years of experienceExperience integrating automation into provisioning, hardening, and operational workflows with technical IT teamsHands-on experience with AnsibleExperience with Windows and Linux operating systemsU.S. citizenship and ability to maintain an active DoD Secret clearancePreferred experience with Infrastructure-as-Code, Kubernetes, APIs, containerized automation, GitOps, and cloud platforms
