Prototype Engineering Planner III

This position is part of RTX’s Bike Shop engineering organization, which develops and prototypes hardware across the product lifecycle. The planner reviews drawings and standards, creates manufacturing instructions, records as-built bills of material, and tracks components through procurement and inventory systems. They also coordinate with suppliers, engineering stores, quality teams, and multidisciplinary design groups to resolve material issues and keep builds moving. The role suits an experienced STEM professional who is comfortable with complex processes, hands-on prototype support, customer interaction, and continuous improvement. It is an onsite Tucson position requiring U.S. citizenship and an active Secret clearance after the first day.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in STEM field with minimum 5 years of relevant engineering or manufacturing planning experienceProficiency with inventory control and material procurement database systemsExperience with supplier quoting and procurement/supply chain interface activitiesAbility to interpret complex engineering drawings and develop work instructionsActive Secret-level or higher DoD security clearanceU.S. citizenship or eligible to obtain and maintain security clearance
