Principal Engineer - Verification

Microchip is seeking a senior verification technical leader for its dsPIC Business Unit in Chandler, Arizona. This engineer will own IP-level verification strategy and execution while helping integrate verification assets into broader SoC environments. The work spans SystemVerilog assertions, constrained-random UVM testing, formal methods, coverage analysis, debugging, and root-cause investigation. Success requires close collaboration with architects, designers, applications teams, and colleagues in multiple countries to deliver reliable products on schedule. The position is well suited to an experienced verification engineer who can lead technical efforts, mentor others, and advance verification methodology and automation.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical, electronics, computer engineering, or related field10+ years of functional verification experienceExpertise in SystemVerilog, assertions, and UVMExperience creating IP- and SoC-level UVM or formal verification environmentsUnderstanding of digital design, RTL, and ARM/RISC SoC architecturesStrong communication, leadership, mentoring, and problem-solving skills
