This position joins Raytheon’s factory engineering function and works with production, engineering, operations, and leadership teams to improve manufacturing performance. Responsibilities include analyzing labor and resource utilization, mapping processes and value streams, balancing work cells, evaluating capacity, designing layouts, and identifying constraints. The engineer will also support new product introductions, factory expansion proposals, safety and ergonomics improvements, and projects addressing performance or obsolescence challenges. Success requires using data and continuous improvement methods to meet cost, quality, schedule, and throughput goals while influencing stakeholders across the organization. It suits an industrial, systems, or manufacturing engineer who enjoys solving complex production problems, leading cross-functional initiatives, and working in a secure defense manufacturing environment.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related STEM field (or Master's degree)Minimum 2 years of relevant industrial engineering experience with tools like Lean Manufacturing, capacity modeling, or process optimizationActive or ability to obtain interim Secret security clearance; U.S. citizenship requiredAbility to obtain and maintain ATF clearanceExperience with factory layout design, simulation modeling, CAD software, or project managementStrong communication skills and ability to influence teams without formal authority
