Mechanical Engineer I

This engineer will join Raytheon’s Shipboard Effectors team and help develop and sustain mechanical components, assemblies, and subsystems used in defense products. Responsibilities include supporting production integration and testing, first article inspections, drawing and work-instruction reviews, material dispositions, and investigations into manufacturing or hardware issues. The position also involves maintaining technical data packages, preparing evidence-based analyses, and presenting recommendations to engineering review groups. Success requires close coordination with engineering, operations, quality, supply chain teams, suppliers, and integrated product leadership. It is well suited to an early-career mechanical or aerospace engineer who enjoys practical hardware work, structured problem solving, teamwork, and occasional travel to supplier or program locations.
